You can't get much done in life if you only work on the day when you feel good.
Jessica kondratoff could power through almost anything. She admits that at the end of the work day she really doesn't feel like coming to workout, however I see her every Thursday. Everyone has there go to mode that gets them through, and I believe Jessica's is power mode.
Some women have to find their physical strength, I often have to cajole ladies to just "throw it" or "let it go". Jessica didn't need persuading to let her punches go, often throwing too hard for most women to hold for her.
I love kickboxing because it's all about control, not just physical, but mental and emotional control as well. We become the most powerful, when we're in control, consciously controlling and aligning our body, our breathing and relaxing our mind.
Jessica still packs a powerful punch, but now she executes it with control and nice technique. I love having Jessica in my class, she laughs easily and is quick to flash that perfect colgate smile. It's been wonderful watching her technique transform, and I feel very proud that I was a part of that transformation.
I joined LoveYou Kickboxing because I wanted to try a new workout and it sounded fun, it was also close to my house.
I feel great after every workout. Even if I come in sick, feeling lazy or whatever, I just feel awesome about my body, like I've really used it that day.
LoveYou Kickboxing is a workout that always makes me sweat, but doesn't make me feel like I'm dying during it.
I think there is a strong emotional impact to doing kickboxing, it helps me get my aggressions and anger out in a very cathartic way. I also love that Cheryl changes things up a lot, and notes progress as it comes. And it's just darn fun!
The good Ol' fashioned right cross is my favorite, feels good every time.
I am a plumber yo! This is notable because I also started kickboxing in preparation for a mandatory, training for the trades, fitness test. I was scared of the fitness test because I was overweight and I didn't look fit. However, with Cheryl's training I kicked butt at that test and was one of the strongest women they had ever seen take the test. Also, Cheryl helped me so much with my confidence going into the test, she lifted such a weight off of my shoulders about it. I remember her saying "oh ya, you will be fine!"
Get your punk ass out of that comfort zone! HA! No really don't be afraid, I was not very fit when I started out and hated exercising and all of that jazz, and I still went to every class because you can go at your own pace. Also, it's great for people like me that have always had a lot of strength but needed to work on their cardio. It sneaks the cardio in there! You don't even notice it!
