LoveYou Kickboxing's Fly Girl!
First Love You
"If love is an action, how do you express self-love? Self-love starts with having the courage to be who you are, regardless of what others might think. It is about having the courage to live your dreams, to do what makes you happy in life, so that one day you won't wake up saying, 'I wish I had.' Self-love is about self-care, making your health a priority. Self-love is revealed in your willingness to stay focused on the things you say are important. It's about having the courage to set boundaries and protect them."
I'd like to thank Cheryl for allowing me the privilege of being her instructor for over a year. I've enjoyed watching her technique develop and her body change. Cheryl easily comes to mind when I read the above quote. A wife and mother of four who also works from home (like 4 kids isn't work enough), Cheryl makes time for herself to do what makes her feel good. Cheryl is often in class twice a week punching (usually me) and sweating.
When asked what she loves about kickboxing and what motivates her to keep coming back, Cheryl responded:
"I love coming to class because it is a great workout but it's a lot of fun too. I have never sweated as much during a workout as I have during kickboxing and the time flies by while we are working out. I love the sound my glove makes when it punches the pad exactly right! It is such a great workout and it makes me feel really strong and more confident as well.
It has made my arms and core a lot stronger and it is great for releasing frustrations... my husband is very happy that I go punch the pads instead of wanting to punch him! Cheryl is a fabulous teacher and we always have a lot of fun and laughs but still get in a hard workout. I have never stayed with an exercise class as long as I have stayed with my kickboxing and I have no plans to stop anytime soon!"
Thank you Cheryl Leonardi! You're an inspiration, keep on Loving You!
"I can only love you most when I love me best."
